Stuart – Adam Blythe, 18 of
Stuart topped the field of 121 runners Saturday in the inaugural
running of the Diploma Dash 5K. Blythe’s time of 17:30 was 14 seconds
better than second place finisher Edward Pagan, 18 of Stuart who had a
time of 17:44. Finishing third was Jon Williams, 39, of Miami who
completed the course in 18:20. Dale Ruby 45, of Palm City won the
Masters Division with a time of 19:24.
In the Woman’s Division, Bonnie Galdys, 28, of
Stuart took first place in a time of 21:25. Stacy Paton, 17, of Hobe
Sound followed with a time of 22:23. Stacy Paton, 17, Stuart, took
third place with a time of 22:23. The Masters division was won by Sandy
Melton, 52, of Jensen Beach at 22:50.
