Full results from the Del Hagin 15K

HOBE SOUND - No course records were set this year during the 15^th Annual Del Hagin 15K Run, held on Saturday, February 6^th, in the Jones/Hungryland Wildlife and Environmental Area. The course was wet and slippery due to rains the night before. The out-and-back cross country trek was measured at 9.32 miles, but undoubtedly the runners clocked an extra half mile by having to zigzag back and forth across the road to stay on the driest ground.

John Reback of Jupiter returned to defend his title and was the Men's Overall winner, finishing in 57 minutes: 05 seconds. In second place was Jon Williams of Miami in 57:08. Jon's finish earned him the Male Masters award (Age 40+). New to the pack was James Martin of Hobe Sound capturing third place in a time of 1:01:13.

In the women's division, Women's Overall winner was Cynthia Washam of Jensen Beachfinishing in 1:12:32. Randi Garvey of Tequesta won second place and the Women's Master's award. Third place winner was Beth Thorp of Stuart, finishing in 1:20:17.

A field of 41 runners completed the race under a cloudy sky and cool temperatures. The

race was organized by the Martin County Parks and Recreation Department, and hosted by the Sailfish Striders Running Club of Stuart.
