Roberto Castillo, 47, of Miami (16:32) and Jill Horst, 25, of Miami (18:39) won the men's and women's overall titles in the Miami Runners Club 5K race at Tropical Park in Miami.

Keno Bros. Duathlon

Anton Van Zyl of Fort Lauderdale and Sue Molloy of Wellington won the men's and women's overall titles in the season-opener at Tradewinds Park.

Van Zyl won in 48 minutes and 8 seconds. Molloy won the women's race by more than 4 minutes, in 54:09.

The course was a 2-mile run, 10-mile bike and 2-mile run.

Defending series champion Lara Block of North Miami flatted late in the bike race and was unable to finish.
