Series on Friday night with the South Fork 5K at South Fork High School. 150 runners

braved the heat and humidity to tackle this double loop off road course.

The winner of the race was Brian Suarez from Okeechobee in 17:50. Second place

went to Eddie Pagan of Stuart finishing in 18:16. Third place and Male Masters Award (40

and over) went to Jon Williams of Miami in 18:35.

In the women’s race, Jamie Spooner of Port St Lucie won the Overall title in 21:27.

Second place winner was Stacy Paton of Stuart in 22:09. Third place winner was Tara

McFarlane from Fort Pierce in 23:30. Female Masters went to Debra Daley of Palm City in

25:04

The race was organized by the Martin County Parks and Recreation Department,

and hosted by the Sailfish Striders Running Club of Stuart.
